Carson, Teixeira, Weimer
LOCAL FUNERALS AND VISITATIONS
Nov. 14 — Joseph Teixeira, celebration of life, 4 to 6 p.m., American Legion Post 43, Fir and Jefferson streets William “Bill” Harold Carson, 78, formerly of La Grande, died Nov. 5 at his home in Lower Perry. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crossroads Community Church near Pioneer Park. Loveland Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Bill was born Oct. 25, 1931, to Harold and Minnie Carson of Lower Perry. Those who knew Bill say he worked hard up to his final day as a volunteer driver for people in need of health care who couldn’t transport themselves. Prior to that, he was a truck driver and owned his own business, Inland Sales Company, for many years in the La Grande area. Bill loved fishing, hunting, pulling his children behind a ski boat, wood cutting and supporting his community and its kids. Those who knew him say he was a large supporter of all activities that had to do with the future — he was always supporting and helping behind the scenes. He could be spotted at any local wrestling event taking place at La Grande High School, or at his grandchildren’s sporting, church or music events. His family says Bill took great pride in his grandchildren. Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years, Twilla; son, Bill and Pat Carson of Summerville; son, Klel and Amy Carson; daughter-in-law, Teresa Carson-Mastrude of La Grande; and brother, Ron and Bonnie Carson of Meridian, Idaho; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Rick Carson.
Easton James Weimer, infant child of Lana Saunders Weimer and Ryan Weimer of La Grande, was born and died Nov. 6 at Grande Ronde Hospital. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Gekeler Lane. A viewing is scheduled at the church at 12:30 p.m. prior to the service. Loveland Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his mother, Lana Saunders Weimer and his father, Ryan Weimer, and two siblings, Keaton Thomas and Addison Belle Weimer, all of La Grande. He is also survived by his grandparents, Mike and Autumn Saunders of Washington and Bruce and Deanna Weimer of La Grande; nine uncles; seven aunts and six cousins.
