Ronald W. Westenskow
Formerly of Imbler
Ronald Wilford Westenskow, 87, of Walla Walla and formerly of Imbler, died Oct. 24. A private graveside service for family and friends will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Blue Mountain Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Walla Walla. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Herring Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Blue Mountain Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
A full obituary will be available later. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity in care of Herring Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, 99362.


Susan L. Alexander
Elgin
1952-2009
Susan Lorraine Alexander, 57, of Elgin, and formerly of Wallowa, died Oct. 24 at her home.
A graveside service will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at the Wallowa Cemetery. Daniels-Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center in
La Grande is in charge of arrangements.
Susan was born Sept. 3, 1952, to Ardeth and Patricia Spruill in Oregon City. She was raised in California and
graduated from Oroville High School.
She married Doug Alexander Aug. 30, 1974. In 1977 they moved to Wallowa from California. In 1993 they moved to Elgin.
Her children consider her an “awesome Mom.” She enjoyed cooking and loved having turtles and collecting turtle
memorabilia.
Survivors include her husband, Doug of Elgin; children, Doug Alexander of Maryland, Tammy Garwood of Mississippi and Brandy Alexander of Mississippi; three grandchildren; sister, Sandra Schultz of Missouri; brothers, Zane and Shawn Fallon of Alaska and Quinn Fallon of California; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by brothers, Danny and Flynn.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Oregon Lung Association in care of Daniels-Knopp, 1502 Seventh St., in
La Grande.


Jay C. Ward
Union
Jay Clifton Ward, 84, of Union, died Oct. 27 at his home. A full obituary will be available later. Loveland Funeral Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
