Obituaries for the day of October 3, 2008

Franklin, Moore

 

 

Edna Leona Carolyna Dockweiler Franklin, 91, of Hermiston and formerly of La Grande, died Sept. 24. A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hermiston. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in La Grande. Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of arrangements.

Ronald Moore, 75, of La Grande, died Oct. 1 at his home. A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at the Third Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Island City. Burial will follow at Cove Cemetery. A full obituary will be published later by Daniels-Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center in La Grande.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the GRH Hospice.
