Leo E. Houston La Grande 1961-2011
Leo was born Jan. 6, 1961, in La Grande to Delbert and Marie (Potts) Houston. He attended schools in La Grande, graduating from La Grande High School with the Class of 1979. After high school, he worked with several employers then moved to California for several years where his favorite place to go was the beach. He later returned to La Grande and met and married Lynn M. Kincudea. They had two girls, Nichole and Kayla Houston, and later divorced. He worked at Walmart, and as a cook at Flying J and the Long Branch. He loved going for rides, fishing, camping and crafts. He was an avid model train collector. Leo is survived by his high school sweetheart and companion, Angela Baird of La Grande; mother, Marie Houston of La Grande; brother, Donald Houston of La Grande; sisters, Arlene Houston and Sharon McCollum, both of La Grande; daughters, Nichole and Kayla Houston, both of La Grande; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Houston; and an infant brother. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oregon Diabetes Association or the Oregon Cancer Society in care of Daniels-Knopp, 1502 Seventh St., La Grande 97850.
La Grande 1942-2011
Lawrence was born June 27, 1942, in Spring Valley, Ill. His parents were Joseph Kolupke and Elizabeth Mazur Kolupke. After graduation, Lawrence joined the Army, and after his service, received an honorable discharge. On June 11, 1982, Lawrence married Sharon Elson in Savannah, Ga. Sharon died in 2009. His nephew, Steve Konopacky of La Grande, was his caregiver for several years. Lawrence is survived by his brother, Joseph A. Kolupke of Alamosa, Colo; and his sisters, Elizabeth Portzen of Dalzell, Ill., and Lorraine E. Gedye of Verona, Wis. |
