RURAL FIRE DISTRICT ANNEXATION

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, a public hearing will be held in the Joseph Building Annex Conference Room, 1106 K Ave., La Grande, Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 10:30 a.m., to consider the annexation of property owned by Mary Jane Muilenberg into the Imbler Rural Fire Protection District. The property is located at 65303 Grays Corner Road and is described as follows:

The west half of the southeast quarter of the southwest quarter and the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 2, in Township 2 South, Range 39 East of the Willamette Meridian, Union County, Oregon.

All interested persons may appear and be heard.

NOTICE OF LAND USE HEARINGS

City of Union

 

PLEASE BE ADVISED the Union City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing Wednesday, 28 November 2007, at or shortly after 7 pm., on:

 

1. Application by Joseph and Wendi Fisher for conditional use approval for a home residence in the heavy commercial zone. The property is located in the City of Union, to wit: Tax lot 900, Map 04S 40E 19CA, Union, Oregon, currently a bare lot. Applicable criteria for the Planning Commission's decision are in the Zoning Ordinance 337, Sections 3: Use Zone, Section 4: Exceptions and Variances, Section 5: Conditional Use and 7: Notices.

 

2. Application by Betty and William Bronson for a variance approval to construct a new deck to a home in the residential zone on the following property located in the City of Union, to wit: Tax lot 5200 and 5300, Township T.045, Range 40E, Sec. 19BC, commonly known as 260 W. Iowa. Applicable criteria for the Planning Commission's decision are found in Zoning Ordinance 337, Section 3: Use Zones, Section 4: Exceptions and Variances, Section 5: Conditional Use and Section 7: Notices.

 

3. Application by Jim and Teresa Smith for a variance approval to construct a carport on the west side of the current home. The property is in a residential zone, located in the City of Union, to wit: Tax lot 2618, Township T.045, Range 40E, Sec. 18CD, commonly known as 375 E. Dewey Lane. Applicable criteria for the Planning Commission's decision are found in Zoning Ordinance 337, Section 3: Use Zones, Section 4: Exceptions and Variances, Section 5: Conditional Use and Section 7: Notices.

 

All Hearings will be held in the Leonard Almquist Council Chambers, Union City Hall, 342 S. Main Street. The chambers are handicapped-accessible.

A copy of the applications and all documents and evidence relied upon by the applicant are available for inspection at no cost at City Hall during normal business hours (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 9-1pm and Wednesday 5-7 pm). A copy of the staff reports will be available for inspection at no cost 7 days before the hearing, during normal business hours. Copies, if desired, will be made for reasonable cost, and mailed if requested.

Testimony may be presented orally at the hearing, or by written statement presented at or before the hearing. Testimony and evidence must be directed toward the criteria, or to other criteria in the Zoning Ordinance or Land Use Plan believed to be applicable to the decision. Failure to raise an issue with sufficient specificity to afford the Planning Commission the opportunity to respond to the issue will preclude appeals or other claims based on that issue.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, a public hearing will be held in the Joseph Building Annex Conference Room, 1106 K Ave., La Grande, Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 10:45 a.m., to consider the annexation of property owned by Millard & Susan Chase into the La Grande Rural Fire Protection District. The property is located at 64678 Cherrywood Road and is described as:

That portion of the Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section four (4) in Township 2 South, Range 38 East of the Willamette Meridian, in Union County, Oregon, more particularly described as follows:

Beginning at the southwest corner of said Southeast quarter of Southwest quarter; thence North along the west line of said subdivision 742.70 feet, more or less, to a point which is 577.30 feet South (when measured along said west line) of the northwest corner of said subdivision; thence East 681.05 feet to the Easterly line of land described in Memorandum of Contract recorded as Microfilm Document No. 109683, Records of Union County, Oregon; thence along the easterly line (on a course which has been determined to be South 14º16'52" West) 766.38 feet to the south line of said Southeast quarter of Southwest quarter at a point which is 492 feet East (when measured along the south line of said subdivision) of the southwest corner of said subdivision; thence West 492 feet to the point of beginning.
