The subject property is located in the R-3 High Density Residential Zone, located on a portion of a parcel described as being in T3S, R38E, Section 09, Portion of Tax Lot 1600, La Grande, Union County, Oregon. The applicant is Mike McCall. The applicable land use regulations are found in City of La Grande Ordinance Number 2978, Series 2001. Failure to raise a specific issue at the Public Hearing precludes appeal to the La Grande City Council. A copy of the application and all information related to the proposal is available for review at no cost, with copies supplied at a reasonable cost. A Staff Report will be available for review seven (7) days before the Planning Commission Hearing and can also be supplied at a reasonable cost. Boquist City Planner Publish: April 7, 14, 2007 Legal no. 2744 _________________ ANNOUNCEMENT OF PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE The United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service will hold a pre-proposal conference for all parties interested in submitting a lease proposal in response to the Government's solicitation for office space in La Grande, Oregon. The purpose of the pre-proposal conference is to explain the Government's lease requirements, solicitation provisions, lease clauses, and to assist interested parties in understanding how to submit complete proposals. The pre-proposal conference is informational, and attendance at the pre-proposal conference is not required for a party to be eligible to submit a lease proposal. The Council will also take action on Resolution No. 150-2007 authorizing the grant application, a letter regarding the appraisal of the project, and a memorandum of understanding with owner, Michael Becker. The public is welcome to attend and present testimony. The proposed amendment to the zoning ordinance will define a new zoning classification, "Industrial Craftsman", providing for industrial/agricultural uses with residential use as a supporting secondary use.
