ORDINANCE BY TITLE ONLY

Pursuant to Section 33 of the City Charter of the City of La Grande, Oregon, the following entitled Ordinance is scheduled to be read for the first time, by title only, at the Regular City Council Meeting scheduled on Wednesday, January 17, 2007, which begins at 6:00 p.m., in the City Hall Council Chambers, 1000 Adams Avenue, La Grande, Oregon.

"AN ORDINANCE LICENSING AND REGULATING SOLICITORS, PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR NONCOMPLIANCE, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 2780, SERIES 1989; AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH"

The Proposed Ordinance would amend the regulation of solicitors (street vendors) throughout the City of La Grande to add provisions to regulate solicitors or vendors that purchase goods.

UNION COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS PLAN/ZONE AMENDMENT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the Union County Board of Commissioners, meeting in regular session, January 17, 2007, 11:00 a.m., Joseph Building Annex Conference Room, 1106 "K" Ave., La Grande, will consider the Union County Planning Commission's 12-18--06 recommendation to approve an application to amend the Union County Zoning, Partition & Subdivision Ordinance by adding the opportunity to review applications for the creation of new non-farm parcels with non-farm dwellings in the County's resource zones (A-1, A-2, A-3 & A-4) meeting the 2001 Legislature's House Bill 3326 requirements.

The applicable Land Use Regulations are found in Sections 23.05 (2) & (3) of the Union County Zoning, Partition and Subdivision Ordinance. Failure to raise a specific issue with sufficient specificity at the local level precludes appeal to LUBA based on that issue. The application and all information related to the proposal are liable for review at no cost and copies can be supplied at a reasonable cost.
