UNION COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Transportation System Plan Amendment Notice is hereby given that the Common Council, City of Island City meeting in regular session will conduct a Public Hearing, Monday, June 8, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. in the Island City City Hall at 10605 Island Avenue, Island City, Oregon, to consider amendments to the Transportation System Plan. It is proposed to revise the TSP map to include an area specific transportation network in the South Riverside Neighborhood. Proposals include a new public railroad crossing, collector street ultimately connecting three railroad crossings north of a Idaho Northern Pacific Railroad line. The TSP may will be changing a private crossing and local street to a public crossing and collector street. The property is located south of the Grande Ronde River and north of Oregon Highway 82. The previous density was 2 acre minimum and the new density will be urban. There at 50 acres involved in the TSP Amendment. Failure to raise a specific issue with sufficient specificity at the local level precludes appeal to LUBA based on that issue. The application and all information related to the proposal are available for review at no cost and copies can be supplied at a reasonable cost. A staff report will be available for review seven days before the hearing, and can be supplied at a reasonable cost.
