NOTICE OF BUDGET
COMMITTEE MEETING
A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the City of La Grande, Union Count, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010 will be held at the F. Maxine & Thomas W Cook Memorial Library, Colleen F. Johnson Community Room, 2006 Fourth Street. The meeting will take place on the 11th day of May, 2009 at 6:05 P.M. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. The City of La Grande will receive approximately $80,000 in State Revenue Sharing payments during the 2009-2010 fiscal year. A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after May 1st at the Finance Department, City Hall, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. (closed during noon hour). This is a public meeting where deliberations of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee. Please enter the building at the north end of the Library.

The meeting will take place on the 18th of May, 2009 at 6:00 PM. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. Lifeguard Applications / Park Maintenance
The Elgin Community Center is now accepting applications for lifeguards, jr. lifeguards, and park maintenance. Applications are available at the Center office Monday thru Friday, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Applications due Thursday, May 8th, 2009 at 5:00 pm.
Bud Rogers Scholarships
The Elgin Community Center is now accepting applications for the Bud Rogers swim scholarships. These scholarships are from children’s swim lessons. Please send the parent’s name, child’s name, phone number, and child’s age to the Community Center, P.O. Box 218, Elgin, OR 97827 by May 14th, 2009.
