NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ALLEY RIGHT-OF-WAY VACATION The City of La Grande Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing at its Regular Session on Tuesday, November 6, 2007, which begins at 6:00 p.m. in the La Grande City Hall Council Chambers, 1000 Adams Avenue, La Grande, Oregon. The Hearing is to consider an application to vacate an undeveloped alley between Adams Avenue, Washington Avenue, Alder Street and Walnut Street, Block 13 of the Supplemental Plat of Grandy's Second Addition, in T3S, R38E, Sections 6DC and 6DB, Tax Lots 4300, 4400, 4500 (6DC) and 13100 (6DB), La Grande, Union County, Oregon. The Application was filed by Robert and Beverly Moody on August 28, 2007, and was accepted by the La Grande City Council on October 17, 2007. The applicable land use regulations are found in Chapter 8, Section 8.10 of the City of La Grande Land Development Code Ordinance Number 3047, Series 2006. This matter will be referred to the La Grande City Council in December, 2007, and January, 2008, for a decision on this matter. Failure to raise a specific issue at these Public Hearings precludes appeal to the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals. A copy of the application and all information related to the proposal is available for review at no cost, with copies supplied at a reasonable cost. A Staff Report will be available for review seven (7) days before the Planning Commission Hearing, and can also be supplied at a reasonable cost. Applicants must be bonded, registered with the State of Oregon Construction Contractors Board, Certified in Weatherization Lead Safe Practices, have a minimum of five years as a General Contractor and carry liability and workers compensation insurance. They must also adhere to all ORS statutes pertaining to employer/employee relations. Minority and women owned contractors are encouraged to respond.
