NATIONAL FOREST TIMBER FOR SALE, WALLOWA-WHITMAN NATIONAL FOREST The Sugar Timber Sale is located within T. 1S. R. 37E. Sec. 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33 & 34, T. 2S. R. 36E. Sec. 1, 12, 13, & 24, T. 2S, R. 37E. Sec. 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 16, 18, 19 & 20. The Forest Service will receive sealed and oral bids in public on Wallowa-Whitman NF Headquarters at 10:00 AM local time on 09/16/2010 for an estimated volume of 1656 CCF of Douglas-fir and Western Larch sawtimber, 1635 CCF of Ponderosa Pine sawtimber, and 1874 CCF of White Fir and Other sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for cutting. In addition, there is within the sale area an estimated volume of 3442 CCF of White Fir and Other green convertible biomass, that the bidder agrees to remove at a fixed rate. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Interested parties may obtain a prospectus from the offices listed below. A prospectus, bid form, and complete information concerning the timber, the conditions of sale, and submission of bids is available to the public from the La Grande Ranger District 3502 Hwy 30 La Grande, OR 97850, or at Wallowa-Whitman NF Headquarters at 1550 Dewey Ave., Baker City, OR 97814.
