NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the Union County Board of Commissioners, meeting in regular session, Wednesday, March 2, 2011, 10:00 a.m., Joseph Building Annex Conference Room, 1106 "K" Ave., La Grande, will consider an appeal by Robert& Linnie Jellum of the Union County Planning Commission’s January 24, 2011 decision to approve the Tsiatsos/URock Radio application to establish an AM radio facility with
two 195 ft. towers and a 10 ft. x 10 ft. equipment building. The subject property is located north of the City of La Grande, at 62608 Booth Lane and is described as Twp. 2S, Range 38 EWM, Section 28, Tax Lots 2100 & 2102, about 47.40 acres, in an A-1 Exclusive Farm Use Zone.

Grande Ronde Model Watershed

 The Grande Ronde Model Watershed invites bids for the construction of the Catherine Creek - Godley Ditch Diversion - 2011 project, located in the City of Union, Oregon, in Union County.  The project generally consists of modifying an existing concrete diversion and constructing a cast-in-place concrete step-pool fishway.  Work for this project will include concrete removal, concrete forming, constructing a rock grade control structure, installing an 18-inch wide aluminum slide gate, and grating, along with excavation, backfill, streambed simulation material placement, and all other associated work, materials, and labor to complete the project. 
Sealed bids for the described project will be received by Mary Estes, or her authorized representative, of the Grande Ronde Model Watershed at 1114 J Avenue, La Grande, Oregon 97850, until 2:00 p.m., local time, March 3, 2011.  Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the same location, time, and date that bids are due.  Construction shall begin in July 2011 and finish in August 2011.  The time for substantial completion shall be forty-five (45) calendar days.
The Contract is subject to the applicable provisions of ORS 279C.800 through ORS 279C.870, the Oregon Prevailing Wage Law, and the Davis-Bacon Act (40USC276a).

Box 1107, La Grande, Oregon 97850, upon non-refundable payment of $100.00 per paper set.  Alternatively, the Contractor may request a paper copy of the Bidder's Packet and a CD containing a printable pdf version of the Contract Documents and Drawings for $20.00.  The Contractor shall provide his/her mailing address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address when plans are requested.  The Contractor shall also identify him/herself as a prime contractor, subcontractor, supplier, etc., as applicable.  The Contract Documents will be available after February 16, 2011.
 A pre-bid conference will be held at 1:00 p.m. local time on February 22, 2011.  The pre-bid conference will be held at the Grande Ronde Model Watershed office located at 1114 J Avenue, La Grande, Oregon.  Representatives of the Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the project.  Bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the conference.
