CITY OF ELGIN PUBLIC NOTICE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS Insurance Agent of Record The City of Elgin is soliciting proposals from qualified insurance agents who wish to be considered for a three-year appointment as Agent of Record. The agent(s) will obtain insurance coverages, solicited on behalf of the City, including property, auto, casualty, liability, workers’ compensation, bonds, and employee benefits. Proposals shall include information on the firm’s experience and background; information on each individual who will be responsible for managing the City’s account(s); a list of public entities that the firm has serviced; details of services the firm will provide to the City of Elgin. The city reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to waive any formalities in the selection process. The final selection of an agent(s) will be made based on the proposal(s) which in the Council’s judgement best meets the needs of the City. The City Council may accept proposals for up to 3 agents. All proposals will be reviewed by staff and forwarded to the City Council for consideration at their regular monthly meeting on February 12, 2008 at 7:00 pm.
