NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND FIRST READING OF ORDINANCE BY TITLE ONLY CORRECTING THE LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTIES ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF LA GRANDE AND REPEALING ORDINANCE 3061, SERIES 2007
The City of La Grande City Council is currently scheduled to hold a Public Hearing at its Regular Session on Wednesday, February 6, 2008, which begins at 6:00 p.m. in the La Grande City Hall Council Chambers, 1000 Adams Avenue, La Grande, Oregon, to consider adoption of an Ordinance correcting the legal description of properties previously annexed into the City of La Grande. The Public Hearing may be continued to the March Regular Session, currently scheduled on March 5, 2008, at the same location and time as noted above. The subject property is located in the Hillside Development, Rural Residential and Low Density Residential Zones, at T3S, R38E, Section 17, Tax Lots 1800 and 1901, La Grande, Union County, Oregon. The applicant is SHR Land Company LLC. Pursuant to Section 33. of the City of La Grande Charter, the following entitled Ordinance will be read by title only at the above-mentioned City Council meetings: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA GRANDE, OREGON, CORRECTING THE LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF LA GRANDE, OREGON; SPECIFICALLY, PROPERTIES AT T3s, R38E, Section 17, Tax Lots 1800 and 1901; REMOVING SAID PROPERTIES FROM THE LA GRANDE RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT; REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 3061, SERIES 2007; AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. The applicable land use regulations are found in City of La Grande Ordinance Number 2978, Series 2001. Failure to raise a specific issue at the Public Hearing precludes appeal to the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals. A copy of the application and all information related to the proposal is available for review at no cost, with copies supplied at a reasonable cost. CITY OF ELGIN PUBLIC NOTICE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS Insurance Agent of Record The City of Elgin is soliciting proposals from qualified insurance agents who wish to be considered for a three-year appointment as Agent of Record. The agent(s) will obtain insurance coverages, solicited on behalf of the City, including property, auto, casualty, liability, workers’ compensation, bonds, and employee benefits. Proposals shall include information on the firm’s experience and background; information on each individual who will be responsible for managing the City’s account(s); a list of public entities that the firm has serviced; details of services the firm will provide to the City of Elgin. The city reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to waive any formalities in the selection process. The final selection of an agent(s) will be made based on the proposal(s) which in the Council’s judgement best meets the needs of the City. The City Council may accept proposals for up to 3 agents. All proposals will be reviewed by staff and forwarded to the City Council for consideration at their regular monthly meeting on February 12, 2008 at 7:00 pm.
