ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Grande Ronde Model Watershed 1114 J Avenue La Grande, Oregon 97850 The Grande Ronde Model Watershed invites bids for the construction of Catherine Creek - Davis Dams Fish Passage - 2011 project located near the City of La Grande in Union County, Oregon. The work will generally consist of installing two 35-foot wide steel irrigation diversion radial gates, two 8-foot wide steel multi-leaf slide gates, two 8-foot wide aluminum slide gates, two cast-in-place concrete vertical slot ladder fishways, two bioengineered cross vane grade control structures, two 36-inch culverts, streambed simulation material, and all other work as shown on the Drawings and described in the Technical Specifications. Sealed bids for the described project will be received by Mary Estes, or her authorized representative, of the Grande Ronde Model Watershed, 1114 J Avenue, La Grande, Oregon, 97850, until 2 p.m., local time, February 10, 2011. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the same location, time, and date that bids are due. Construction shall begin in July 2011 and finish in November 2011. The Contract is subject to the applicable provisions of ORS 279C.800 through ORS 279C.870, the Oregon Prevailing Wage Law, and the Davis-Bacon Act (40USC276a). Alternatively, the Contractor may request a paper copy of the Bidder’s Packet and a CD containing a printable pdf version of the Contract Documents and Drawings for $20.00. The Contractor shall provide his/her mailing address and telephone and fax numbers when plans are requested. The Contractor shall also identify him/herself as a prime contractor, subcontractor, supplier, etc., as applicable. The Contract Documents will be available after January 18, 2011. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 1:00 p.m., local time on February 1, 2011.
