ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS City of La Grande, Oregon
Sealed bids for the described project will be received by Ray Crapo, or his authorized representative, of the City of La Grande Public Works Department at 800 X Avenue, La Grande, Oregon, 97850, until 2:00 p.m., local time, February 12, 2008. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the same location, time, and date that bids are due. The time for substantial completion shall be sixty (60) calendar days from the date work begins on site. Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations: La Grande Public Works Department, 800 X Avenue, La Grande, Oregon Anderson·Perry & Associates, Inc., 1901 N. Fir Street, La Grande, Oregon Anderson·Perry & Associates, Inc., 214 E. Birch Street, Walla Walla, Washington McGraw-Hill Construction/Dodge Plan Center, Boise, Idaho Tri-City Construction Council, Kennewick, Washington Daily Journal of Commerce (Plan Center), Portland, Oregon Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of Anderson·Perry & Associates, Inc., 1901 N. Fir Street, P.O. Box 1107, La Grande, Oregon 97850, upon non-refundable payment of $75.00 for each set. The Contractor shall provide his mailing address and telephone and fax numbers when plans are requested. The Contract Documents will be available after January 25, 2008. A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m., local time on January 31, 2008. The pre-bid conference will be held at the City of La Grande Public Works Department at 800 X Avenue, La Grande, Oregon, 97850. Representatives of the Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the project. Legal no. 3061 CITY OF ELGIN PUBLIC NOTICE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS Insurance Agent of Record The City of Elgin is soliciting proposals from qualified insurance agents who wish to be considered for a three-year appointment as Agent of Record. The agent(s) will obtain insurance coverages, solicited on behalf of the City, including property, auto, casualty, liability, workers’ compensation, bonds, and employee benefits. Proposals shall include information on the firm’s experience and background; information on each individual who will be responsible for managing the City’s account(s); a list of public entities that the firm has serviced; details of services the firm will provide to the City of Elgin. The city reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to waive any formalities in the selection process. The final selection of an agent(s) will be made based on the proposal(s) which in the Council’s judgement best meets the needs of the City. The City Council may accept proposals for up to 3 agents. All proposals will be reviewed by staff and forwarded to the City Council for consideration at their regular monthly meeting on February 12, 2008 at 7:00 pm.
