NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING VARIANCE PERMIT The City of La Grande Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing at its Regular Session on Tuesday, February 5, 2008, which begins at 6:00 p.m. in the La Grande City Hall Council Chambers, 1000 Adams Avenue, La Grande, Oregon. The Hearing is to consider an application for a Variance to allow a ten foot front yard setback, where the City standards require twenty feet. The property is situated at 2901 North Fourth Street, in the R-2 Medium Density Residential Zone, at T3S, R38E, Section 5BB, Tax Lot 1604, La Grande, Union County, Oregon. The application was filed by Ellen Lester on January 10, 2008. The applicable land use regulations are found in Chapter 8, Section 8.4 of the City of La Grande Land Development Code Ordinance Number 3047, Series 2006. Failure to raise a specific issue at the Public Hearing precludes appeal of the Planning Commission’s decision. A copy of the application and information related to the proposal are available for review at no cost, with copies supplied at a reasonable cost. A Staff Report will be available for review seven (7) days before the Planning Commission Hearing, and can also be supplied at a reasonable cost. The Hearing is to consider an application for a Subdivision Permit to subdivide approximately 3.3 Acres into seventeen (17) lots. The property is situated in the R-3 High Density Residential Zone, T3S, R38E, Section 4DC, Tax Lot 300, La Grande, Union County, Oregon. The application was filed by Whiskey Creek Investments on January 14, 2008. The applicable land use regulations are found in Chapter 4, Section 4.3 of the City of La Grande Land Development Code Ordinance Number 3047, Series 2006. Failure to raise a specific issue at the Public Hearing precludes appeal to the La Grande City Council.
