NOTICE OF HEARING UNION COUNTY BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS PALMER JUNCTION ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY VACATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the Union County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on August 5, 2009,, at 10:00 a.m. in the Joseph Building Annex Conference Room, 1106 “K” Ave., La Grande, to review a petition submitted by Tonya Chandler to vacate the following portion of Palmer Junction Road right-of-way:
A section of old County road right-of-way not vacated when Palmer Junction Road was realigned and more particularly described as a strip of land 60 feet in width north of the north right-of-way line of the Palmer Junction Road lying in the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 and NW 1/4 and SW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 26, Twp. 2N, Range 39 EWM.
Bargain and Sale Deed 17518 recorded in the Union County Clerk’s Office on November 3, 1967 identifies the new right-of-way acquired and location of right-of-way requesting to be vacated.
Adjacent landowners and interested person are invited to submit written or oral testimony before or on the day of the hearing. If no opposition is presented, the Board of Commissioners may grant the request with such restriction as it deems reasonable. Additional information on the request may be obtained from the Union County Planning Department.
