Notice is hereby given that the City of Cove is in the process of preparing an application for Federal Assistance to be submitted in the next sixty (60) days to the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Office for assistance with proposed improvements to the city wastewater system.
The purpose of the application is to seek loan assistance and grants to complete the required funding for the wastewater system upgrades to achieve compliance with the Department of Environmental Quality Standards. The project consists of constructing improvements to the treatment and disposal systems as outlined in the Wastewater System Study Update adopted in 2011 by the City of Cove.
All interested parties wishing to present comments on the proposed application are urged to contact the City of Cove for information on the project. Copies of the information including the System Study Update are available for review at Cove City Hall. Photocopies will be provided at a reasonable cost.
