NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
RENAMING PUBLIC RIGHTS-OF-WAY
FIRST READING OF ORDINANCE BY TITLE ONLY
Notice is hereby given in accordance with ORS 271.110, that the La Grande City Council will conduct a Public Hearing during its regular meeting on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, which begins at 6:00 p.m., in the City Hall Council Chambers, 1000 Adams Avenue, La Grande, Oregon. The Hearing is to consider renaming public rights-of-way in the La Grande Business Park, 2902 Gekeler Lane, T3S, R38E, Section 16, Tax Lots 500 and 690. The Public Hearing may be continued to the subsequently scheduled, Regular Session of the City Council. The property is situated in the BP Business Park Zone.
Pursuant to Section 33. of the City of La Grande Charter, the following entitled Ordinance is scheduled to be read for the first time by title only at the above-mentioned City Council meeting:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA GRANDE, OREGON, RENAMING STREET RIGHTS-OF-WAY SITUATED IN THE LA GRANDE BUSINESS PARK SUBDIVISION, TOWNSHIP 3 SOUTH, RANGE 38 EAST, SECTIONS 16AB, 16AC, 16BA AND 16BD, LA GRANDE, UNION COUNTY, OREGON, FROM GRANDE RONDE DRIVE TO PROSPECT DRIVE, FROM ANTHONY LAKES DRIVE TO ANTELOPE DRIVE and declaring an effective date
The applicable land use regulations are found in ORS Chapter 227.120. Failure to raise a specific issue at the Public Hearings precludes appeal to the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals. A copy of the application and proposed Ordinance are available for review at no cost, with copies supplied at a reasonable cost at the City of La Grande Planning Division, 1000 Adams Avenue, La Grande, Oregon. A Staff Report will be available for review seven (7) days before the Hearings at no cost, with copies supplied at a reasonable cost. The City Council of the City of
La Grande will hold A Public Hearing during its Regular Session on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, which begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 1000 Adams Avenue, La Grande, Oregon. The Hearing is for the purpose of discussing Preliminary Assessments for the Street Improvements on 12th Street beginning at Gekeler Lane approximately 1,275 feet north, and for entertaining remonstrances or objections thereto or claims for damages as a result of such proposed Improvement District.
Please direct written remonstrances to Norman J. Paullus, Jr., Acting Public Works Director, 800 ‘X’ Avenue, La Grande, Oregon, 97850. Remonstrances must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2008.
