A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the City of Island City, Union County, State of Oregon to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012 will be held at 10605 Island Avenue, Island City. The meeting will take place on the 11th day of April, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after April 11, 2011, between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at Island City City Hall, 10605 Island Avenue, Island City. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CITY OF LA GRANDE, OREGON 2011 CITY WIDE VOLUNTARY SIDEWALK LID 11-056 &
The City of La Grande invites competitive bids for the 2011 City Wide Voluntary Sidewalk Local Improvement District #11-056 and Concrete Repair Projects. The project will be to furnish all materials, labor and equipment to construct and complete all necessary items for repair and replacement and/or new construction of sidewalk, curb, curb and gutter, driveway approaches and other miscellaneous concrete repairs and construction as requested.
Sealed bids for the described projects will be received by Norm Paullus, or his designee at the City of La Grande at the Public Works Department, 800 ‘X’ Avenue,
La Grande, Oregon until 2:00 p.m. local time, on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, and then publicly opened and read aloud the same day, at 2:05 p.m. in the Public Works Conference Room. The contract shall end December 31, 2011.
The City of La Grande may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed requirements listed in the contract Documents, and may reject for good cause any and all bids upon finding that it is in the public interest to do so.

Request for Applications for Community Dispute Resolution Services
Notice is hereby given that Union County and the State of Oregon acting by and through the State Board of Higher Education on behalf of the University of Oregon for the University of Oregon School of Law (Grantor) are initiating the application and selection process for grant funds available to eligible community dispute resolution programs in Union County under ORS 36.155. The grant period is July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2013, subject to funding authorization by the 2011 Legislature. Assuming funding for 2011-2013 is reauthorized by the 2011 Legislature, grant funds for Union County will be approximately $27,563 for this period.
Applications must be received by May 2, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. Late applications will not be considered.
