 TRUSTEE'S NOTICE OF SALE Reference is made to that certain Trust Deed made by KYLE CARPENTER, AND JENNIFER J CARPENTER, HUSBAND AND WIFE, as grantor(s), to FIDELITY NATIONAL TITLE INSURANCE CO, as Trustee, in favor of MORTGAGE ELECTRONIC REGISTRATION SYSTEMS, INC., as Beneficiary, dated 03/15/06, recorded 03/17/06, in the mortgage records of Union County, OR, as Recorder's fee/file/instrument/microfilm/reception Number 20061228, covering the following described real property situated in said county and state, to wit: LOTS NUMBERED SEVEN (7) AND EIGHT (8) IN BLOCK NUMBERED TWO (2) IN THE TOWN OF NORTH POWDER, UNION COUNTY, OREGON, ACCORDING TO THE RECORDED PLAT OF SAID ADDITION. PROPERTY ADDRESS: 490 B STREET NORTH POWDER, OR 97867 Both the Beneficiary and the Trustee have elected to sell the real property to satisfy the obligations secured by the Trust Deed and a notice of default has been recorded pursuant to Oregon Revised Statutes 86.735(3); the default for which the foreclosure is made is grantor's failure to pay when due the following sums: monthly payments of $1,177.46 beginning 08/01/2008; plus late charges of $46.67 each month beginning with the 08/01/2008 payment plus prior accrued late charges of $190.52; plus advances of $ 15.00; together with title expense, costs, trustee's fees and attorney's fees incurred herein by reason of said default; and any further sums advanced by the Beneficiary for the protection of the above described real property and its interest therein. WHEREFORE, notice hereby is given that, RECONTRUST COMPANY, N.A., the undersigned Trustee will on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at the hour of 10:00AM in accord with the standard of time established by ORS 187.110, at the following place: outside the main entrance of the Daniel Chaplin Building, 1001 4th Street, in the city of La Grande, County of Union, State of Oregon, sell at public auction to the highest bidder for cash the interest in the described real property which the grantor had or had power to convey at the time of the execution by grantor of the Trust Deed, together with any interest which the grantor or grantor's successors in interest acquired after the execution of the Trust Deed, to satisfy the foregoing obligations thereby secured and the costs and expenses of sale, including a reasonable charge by the Trustee. Notice is further given that any person named in ORS 86.753 has the right, at any time prior to five days before the date last set for the sale, to have this foreclosure proceeding dismissed and the Trust Deed reinstated by payment to the Beneficiary of the entire amount then due (other than such portion of the principal as would not then be due had no default occurred) and by curing any other default complained of herein that is capable of being cured by tendering the performance required under the obligation or Trust Deed, and in addition to paying said sums or tendering the performance necessary to cure the default by paying all costs and expenses actually incurred in enforcing the obligation and Trust Deed, together with the Trustee's and attorney's fees not exceeding the amounts provided by OSRS 86.753. In construing this notice, the singular includes the plural, the word "grantor" includes any successor in interest to the grantor as well as any other person owing an obligation, the performance of which is secured by said Trust Deed, and the words "Trustee" and "Beneficiary" include their respective successors in interest, if any. NOTICE OF
BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING

A public meeting of the City of Elgin Budget Committee will be held at the City Hall, 180 N. 8th, Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comments from the public on the budget document for the City for the fiscal year July 1, 2009 - June 30, 2010.
A copy of the budget document may be inspected on or after Tuesday, April 28 at the City Office between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place.

Pursuant to ORS 477.250, notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held at the Northeast Oregon Forest Protection (NEO) District Office, 611 20th Street, La Grande, Oregon, on Monday, April 13, 2009, at 9:00 a.m., to receive from any interested persons suggestions, advice, objections or remonstrance’s to the proposed budget for the forest protection district. A copy of the tentative budget for the forest protection district may be inspected during normal working hours. Wallowa County announces the opportunity for eligible transportation providers to apply for a Special Transportation Fund Formula Program through the Oregon Department of Transportation. Grant applications are for the 2009-2011 Biennium. Projects providing urban and rural public transportation services, transportation for low income individuals, seniors and people with disabilities, vanpool development and rural intercity bus are eligible for grant funding. Applications are available at the Public Transit Division Web site: www.oregon.gov/ODOT/PT/ The application packet includes instructions and eligibility guidelines. Applications submitted for projects in Wallowa County must be submitted to the Board of Commissioners, not later than 5:00 PM on April 30th, 2009.
