A public meeting of the City of Elgin Budget Committee will be held at the City Hall, 180 N 8th, Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 7:00 pm.. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comments from the public on the budget document for the City for the fiscal year July 1, 2011 - June 30, 2012.
A copy of the budget document may be inspected on or after Tuesday, May 17, at the City Office between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place.

and
City of La Grande General, Enterprise, and Special Funds
The Budget Committee of the City of La Grande, Union County, State of Oregon, will convene at 6:00 p.m., on Monday, May 9, 2011, in the Colleen F. Johnson Community Room of the F. Maxine and Thomas W. Cook Memorial Library, 2006 Fourth Street, to begin deliberations in connection with the proposed Urban Renewal District (URD) Fiscal Year Budget effective July 1, 2011, to June 30, 2012. The purpose of this Meeting is to formally receive the Budget Message from the District Manager/Budget Officer and to accept public comments about the proposed URD Budget. Immediately following Committee review of the Urban Renewal District Budget, the Budget Committee will begin deliberations in connection with the City’s General, Enterprise, and Special Funds budgets effective July 1, 2011, to June 30, 2012. The purpose of this Meeting is to formally receive the Budget Message from the City Manager/Budget Officer and to accept public comments about the proposed Budget. It is anticipated that the City of La Grande will receive approximately $96,000, in State Revenue Sharing payments during the 2011-2012 Fiscal Year. A copy of the Budget Document containing the proposed Budgets may be inspected or obtained on or after April 29, 2011, in the Finance Department of City Hall, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Members of the public are welcome to address the Budget Committee about proposed General Fund programs or other Budget-related issues beginning on Tuesday, May 10th. Please enter the Cook Memorial Library at the north end of the building.
