NOTICE OF HEARING UNION COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS PLAN/ZONE AMENDMENT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the Union County Board of Commissioners, meeting in special session, October 27, 2010, 10:00 a.m., Joseph Building Annex Conference Room, 1106 "K" Ave., La Grande, will consider the Union County Planning Commission’s September 27, 2010 recommendation to approve an application submitted by Hampton Business Properties to add 43.5 acres to an existing 30 acre significant basalt aggregate site. The property is located north of the City of La Grande, on the west side of Fox Hill Road and is described as Twp. 2S, Range 37 EWM, Section 36, Tax Lot 100 and Twp. 2S, Range 37 EWM, Tax Lot 2100, approximately 186.55 total acres, in an A-4 Timber- Grazing Zone. The applicable Land Use Regulations are found in Article 15 and Sections 20.10, 21.07 & 23.05 of the Union County Zoning, Partition and Subdivision Ordinance and OAR 660-023-0180(3)(5)&(8). Failure to raise a specific issue with sufficient specificity at the local level precludes appeal to LUBA based on that issue. The application and all information related to the proposal are available for review at no cost and copies can be supplied at a reasonable cost. The subject property is located east of I-84, about 6 miles south of the City of La Grande and is described as Twp. 4S, Range 38 EWM, Tax Lots 3702, 5500 & 5700, Twp. 4S, Range 38 EWM, Sec. 1, Tax Lot 1500 and Twp. 4S, Range 39 EWM, Tax Lots 2500, 2600, 2900 & 6600, about 5,445.84 total acres, in an A-4 Timber Grazing Zone. The applicable Land Use Regulations are found in Sections 5.08 of the Union County Zoning, Partition & Subdivision Ordinance and OAR 660-033-0130(5). Failure to raise a specific issue with sufficient specificity at the local level precludes appeal to LUBA based on that issue.
