ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS City of Union, Oregon 342 South Main / P.O. Box 529 Union, Oregon 97883 The City of Union, Oregon, invites bids for the construction of East Arch Street Water Line Improvements - Phase I - 2010. The work shall include the installation of approximately 800 lineal feet of 16-inch water line, valves, water service line replacement, fire hydrants, State Highway pipeline crossing, surface restoration, and other related work. An additive alternative to install additional 16-inch water line may be exercised depending on funds availability. Sealed bids for the described project will be received by Sandra Patterson, or her authorized representative, of the City of Union at Union City Hall, 342 South Main / P.O. Box 529, Union, Oregon 97883, until 2:00 p.m., local time, September 16, 2010. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the same location, time, and date that bids are due. The time for substantial completion shall be forty-five (45) calendar days. The Contract is subject to the applicable provisions of ORS 279C.800 through ORS 279C.870, the Oregon Prevailing Wage Law. Alternatively, the Contractor may request a paper copy of the Bidder’s Packet and a CD containing a printable pdf version of the Contract Documents and Drawings for $20.00. The Contractor shall provide his/her mailing address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address when plans are requested. The Contractor shall also identify him/herself as a prime contractor, subcontractor, supplier, etc., as applicable. The Contract Documents will be available after September 7, 2010. A pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 p.m. local time on September 13, 2010. The pre-bid conference will be held at Union City Hall, 342 South Main, Union, Oregon 97883. Representatives of the Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the project.
