With time change, watch out for pedestrians
With the annual time change occurring this Sunday at 2 a.m., it’s time to remember the advice, “See and be seen.”
Drivers and pedestrians alike need to be vigilant to prevent accidents. Darkness will fall one hour earlier, meaning pedestrians need to remember to wear bright or reflective clothing.
So far this year, 47 pedestrians in Oregon have died in motor vehicle traffic crashes. That’s as many as all of last year. Remember, see and be seen.
