Rynearson Red flag for disaster To the Editor: I was once quiet and a bit naive about the surrounding world we all share. Lately I have been alert and investigative enough to decide that where Obama and his administration is heading is a red flag for disaster. They are unchecked and way out off control like a teenager with an unlimited bank account. Now I am no mathematician, but last I knew you can’t spend money you don’t have. Am I missing something? Norm Cimon in a recent letter to the editor wrote, “Let’s spend the next trillion getting there. And let’s see if we can’t get a few Republicans to go there with us.” Who the heck is us? News flash: this isn’t about political parties, this is about sanity and what is happening is insane. Well, spending a little more than the taxpayers have didn’t work, so ... let’s tax people into oblivion and spend like crazy. What a good plan. People, do you realize at this rate of spending we will essentially be owned by a foreign country? Wake up! Speak out at the Oregon Tea Party that will be held in La Grande April 15 at 5:30 p.m. at Max Square. For more info. see www.oregonteaparty.com and join the nationwide avenue to speak out against corrupt government and taxation without representation. Many of the members of Obama’s administration should be facing criminal charges and many are old dogs from the past. You know what they say: You can’t teach old dogs new tricks. How do you like the “change?’’ Brad Rynearson La Grande |
