Great experience

To the Editor:

This weekend, I had the opportunity to participate in the La Grande Sprint Triathlon. This event had many local sponsors and proceeds are going to swim education scholarships for children.

I want to express my gratitude to aquatics superintendent Teresa Roberts, who organized the event and its many volunteers. The entire event ran like clockwork. The routes were clearly marked, the volunteers were helpful and both experienced and novice triathletes were treated in a courteous and professional manner.

When events such as this run so smoothly, it is obvious that much thought and preparation went into its success. Kudos to all who took part in making the Sprint Triathlon such a wonderful experience.
