Who is the party of no?
Like all of you, I am getting tired of the blame game. The Democrats had control of the presidency, the Senate and the House and couldn’t find the time to submit a national budget. Now they say the Republicans are the party of no? I can’t believe that when one party doesn’t do its job (budget) it can call the other party “the party of no.” The president will not provide specific cuts and the Democrats can’t stop spending to put forth a budget. The Republicans are trying to rein in the wild spending that they were also involved in. The Republicans have promised no “earmarks” and the president has said he will not sign any bill with earmarks. Then why does every Democrat have billions of requested earmarks? Just check www.washingtonwatch.com and look under “Ear Marks” tab. The Republicans have heard the people through the Tea Party. Why haven’t the Democrats? Have you read about the “fair tax”? Let’s get the lobbyists and special interests out of Washington, D.C. Ken Parsons La Grande |
