Filling a void

To the Editor:

We agree with your April editorial about the unfortunate loss of Crossing the Blues and the hope that some group would take charge of its renewal. In a small way, the Think Link Discovery Center and the Maridell Center for Family Fun & Events are attempting to fill this void.

On July 9, from noon until 8 p.m., we will be teaming up to provide our local area with a music, dance and games event called Mid-Summer Music FUN-RAISER, a benefit for Think Link.

This will not only be a benefit to support a worthy organization, but a chance to showcase some of our local music and dance talent. We also believe that it will give people an opportunity for a fun social event that is family-oriented and affordable.

We hope the people of our area will support this inaugural FUN-RAISER and that we can continue providing quality entertainment and activities for many years to come.
