A weary time

To the Editor:

My son is on a mission in Afghanistan. I am always worried until I know he is back safely on the base.

My husband commented that when President Bush was in office that there were weekly peace rallies in Max Square in La Grande and at the courthouse in Enterprise. A letter was written in support of caskets being shown coming home. When President Obama was elected he took one picture of himself saluting a returning casket and none since.

Forgive me, I guess I am just a little weary. Weary of the war, the weather, the wolves and Wally Sykes.

My son has as many restrictions placed on him defending himself on President Obama’s watch as we do with the Oregon Wolf Plan.
