‘Here to help’ attitude
The men and women of the La Grande Public Works crew showed diligence and positive attitudes throughout the flood and aftermath that started May 25. Their efforts to support the vast amount of issues and function with a positive attitude and a smile should be acknowledged. They had been awake since their normal shifts early Wednesday and Thursday morning. They still had a “we’re here to help” attitude. Their ability to display this composure through such a high-stress situation could not be left unsaid. The workers made a dreadful set of circumstances a little easier to get through.
