Under Oregon Department of Forestry advisement, Union County Mount Emily Recreation Area has closed all motorized trails until further notice, Sean Chambers, Union County parks coordinator, said in an email.

“Currently there are several fires in the region which have spread out local resources,” Chambers said.

The ODF has increased its Regulated Use Closures, limiting chainsaw to a 10 a.m. shutdown. Cutting dry cured grass and motorized travel on unimproved roads is also prohibited.
