Fishing restrictions lifted

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife announced Thursday it is relaxing fishing restrictions on 10 northeast Oregon bodies of water. The eased restrictions go in effect immediately.



Wallowa-Whitman easing restrictions

Starting Thursday, the Wallowa-Whitman is allowing campfires in designated campgrounds and recreation areas, and in the Eagle Cap Wilderness.



La Grande City Council declares emergency, will not allow for pre-sale

The two main topics of Wednesday night's La Grande City Council meeting had to do with marijuana — one regarding the pre-sale of recreational marijuana by the medical marijuana facilities in La Grande beginning Oct. 1, and the other was whether to opt-out of the sale and production of marijuana by year's end.
