Celebrant Singers, an internationally-known Christian music group, will appear in concert Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Grande Ronde Community Church, 410 Fir St., in La Grande.
Admission is free, but a freewill offering will be received for their ministry.
Since 1977, Celebrant Singers have sung to more than six million people in live concerts and to countless more via radio and television.

These are questions that will spark the live Stanford University debate "Atheism vs. Theism and The Scientific Evidence for Intelligent Design," live simulcast to be broadcast at 6 p.m. Sunday in the conference room at Valley Fellowship, 507 Palmer in La Grande. This picture of the Helix Nebula posted as NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day on May 10, 2003, quickly became an urban legend dubbed "The Eye of God." It is the closest example of a planetary nebula created at the end of the life of a sun-like star. It lies about 650 light-years away and spans about 2.5 light-years in size. from Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif.

I don't remember the year, I don't remember whether it was
Christmas or her birthday and I don't remember which VeggieTale it was.
But as I sat and watched it with her, I remember thinking, "Wow! This
is different — this is really cool." And I've been hooked ever since.
