The La Grande Legacy Legends got off to a terrific start to open the Smokey Mountain Invitational in Caldwell, Idaho Thursday, beating Vallivue, Idaho, 15-0 in five innings.
Tyson Wicklander enjoyed a highly efficient performance pitching for the Legacy Legends, throwing a no-hitter with six strikeouts and two walks in the win.
“Tyson did a great job of changing speeds on his pitches,” head coach Parker McKinley said. “He was really hitting his spots.”
The Legends finished the game with 12 hits and 12 RBI. They are now 2-2 on the season, and will be back in action today with games against Kuna, Idaho and Eagle, Idaho.
