The McDonald’s/Legacy Ford Legends made short work of a doubleheader with the Milton-Freewater Blazers Tuesday, sweeping the visitors with lopsided wins that improved their season record to 11-1.
The Blazers fell behind early in the first game, before losing 11-1 in the sixth inning because of the 10-run rule.
The second game was a little different.

 Union/Cove’s Dani Sturm was named as the best softball player in District 6 this season.
Union senior named District 6 player of the year
Dani Sturm capped off an impressive senior season by earning the Special District 6 softball player of the year award recently.
The Union/Cove product went 21-1 in the circle with 123 strikeouts. She also batted .492 with six home runs and 18 stolen bases.
“It means a lot to me,” Sturm said of the award. “I worked really hard since my freshman year.”

ENTERPRISE — Clint Johnson returned to the Mountain High Broncs and Bulls Rodeo in Enterprise to win the bull-riding contest with 81 points. The Baker City cowboy has now won the event twice, the first time in 2009.
