1A, 2A GIRLS SHINE AS STATE ALL-STARS

SALEM — Imbler's Leanne Foster had 13 points and nine rebounds for the East in Friday's 2A girls East-West All Star Basketball game.

Enterprise's Lacey Nobles also had eight points and nine rebounds for the East. The West won 66-61 in a game played at Western Baptist College.

Foster was a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line as she led the East in scoring. Nobles had two steals, two assists and hit a three-point shot.

In the girls' 1A game, also played at Western Baptist Friday, Cove's Lisa Scheele, the 1A Player of the Year for all of Oregon, scored 15 points to lead the East team in scoring. The 1A West girls won that game 66-40.

Scheele shot 5-for-11 from the field and hit a three-pointer. She was 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

Cove's Kelcie Robinson led the East with 10 rebounds. She also scored six points.
