Eastern Oregon University's Adrienne Fullmer and Kathy Bielemeier have been named softball player and pitcher of the week for the Cascade Collegiate Conference and NAIA Region I for the week of March 10-16.

Fullmer, a 5-4 junior outfielder from Twin Falls, Idaho, went 4-for-7 with two doubles and two runs scored in the Mountaineers' doubleheader sweep over Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa Friday.

Fullmer had both game-winning RBIs in the Mountaineers' 6-2, and 8-0 wins over their NCAA Division II opponent and currently leads the team in batting average (.500), hits (15), and doubles (3).

Bielemeier (5-7, RHP, Stayton/ Regis HS), in her second season with the Mountaineers, transferred from Seattle University after her freshman season.

In her appearance against the Crusaders, Bielemeier (4-0, 1.46 ERA) scattered four hits and struck out six, en route to Eastern's 8-0 shutout of NNU in the second game of the doubleheader.

Bielemeier threw just 85 pitches in seven innings.

Bielemeier anchors a staff of three pitchers that have an ERA of 2.00.

Eastern Oregon will return to action with an exhibition game against Western Baptist College Friday in La Grande.

The team then will depart for Southern California to participate in Chapman University's SunWest Tournament, March 24-28.
