ASHLAND The Cascade Collegiate Conference Preview is what the Eastern Oregon softball team needed this weekend three solid victories out of four games to kick off conference play.

Eastern (7-9 overall, 3-1 Cascade Collegiate Conference) rallied for a 7-6 win against Concordia Saturday.

The Cavaliers were leading 6-1 until the bottom of the fifth. With one out, Crissie Bacon hit a two-run double.

Nicole Landstroms double and Tonilynn Reardons two-run triple in the sixth tied the game. Pinch runner Julie Pollastro ran in the winning run off Missy Bonnanos single in the seventh.

Easterns lone 9-7 loss was to 17th ranked Oregon Institute of Technology Saturday.

OIT held off a late surge by Eastern in the bottom of the sixth. Megan Brocks three-run triple sliced OITs lead 9-4. In the seventh, with runners on first and second, Brock struck out to end the game.

Sunday, Eastern held off a rally by Albertson and rallied to defeat Southern Oregon.

Four Coyote errors and RBI singles by Brock and Bacon gave Eastern a 5-0 lead after six.

Albertson stormed back with three runs on four hits in the bottom of the seventh.

Eastern escaped with a 5-3 win.

In the 6-5 comeback win over Southern Oregon, Brock hit a two-out, seventh-inning triple to score Katelyn Tatum from first.

SOU led 5-4 with two out when Tatum popped to shallow center, and the ball fell between the centerfielder Seanna Doyel and second baseman Haley Varley, allowing Watson to score the tying run from third.

Watson, Tatum, Martin and Landstrom had two hits each in the victory.

Eastern hosts Oregon Tech Saturday.
