PINE EAGLE — Another opponent, another whooping. Elgin varsity baseball pounded host Pine Eagle Saturday, 17-1, 17-4, with both games ending after four innings. G.D. Clark led the way in Game 1, belting a home run. And Jake Kennedy (2 RBIs), Dalton Moore (3 RBIs) and Dillon Moore (3-for-4, 3 RBIs) each had a double. Dalton Moore threw a complete game, striking out 10 batters and yielding just three hits, earning the win. “He pitched an oustanding game,” Elgin coach Greg Luse said. “We had really good defense behind him.” In Game 2, Clark earned the win, striking out six batters through four innings. And leading the way at the plate was Dalton Moore (3-for-4, 3 RBIs), Clark (3-for-4, home run, 2 RBIs) and Travis Ludwig (3-for-4, home run, 2 RBIs).
