A 24-point first quarter for Joseph varsity basketball paved the way to its 77-22 victory against Powder Valley Friday. With the win, Joseph advances into the district championship at 8:15 tonight versus Imbler. Powder will play Cove at 2:15 p.m. in the third-place game. With a win, Powder will advance into the state tournament. As for this game, Paige Bailey scored 16, Megan Yost 13 and Nicke Parks 10. “It was a well-rounded game,” Eagles coach Lance Homan said. “We played hard from start to finish.” Kara Harris hit two baskets from three-point land for the Badgers.
