Boys fall by 10-6

PENDLETON The La Grande Tigers need more practice time to eliminate the errors that cost them Thursdays non-league baseball game against Pendleton.

We looked a lot better than the last time we played, La Grande coach Dennis Young said after the Tigers 10-6 loss to Pendleton. It shows that we havent been out on the field.

La Grandes Optimist Field has been sopping wet this season and has not had a chance to dry out. La Grande was supposed to play a home game against Pendleton last week, but that was moved across the mountain to a drier field.

Thursday, Zack Glasser hit a lead off home run for the Tigers in the sixth inning, cutting Pendletons lead to 7-6. But the Bucks scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to put the game out of reach.

La Grandes three errors in the game led to five Pendleton runs.

Glasser had two hits, as did Jason Smith. Glasser also had two RBIs.

La Grande (1-2) next plays March 29-30 at a tournament in Nampa, Idaho.
