La Grande boys lose
The La Grande soccer boys got off to a fast start, but couldn't maintain the momentum and lost their first league match of the year to Mac-Hi 2-1 Thursday at home.
The Tigers got ahead quickly in the match as Jared Blakely scored a first-half goal. But, Mac-Hi took the lead midway through the second half.
Coach Jessy Watson said Mac-Hi is an improved team, but that the Tiger boys "let it slip away." La Grande is 1-1-2 in league, and plays Saturday at home against The Dalles.
