LA GRANDE'S DANIELLE TAMS IS NAMED LEAGUE MVP
Six girls on the Greater Oregon League co-champion La Grande Tigers were named to GOL all-star teams last week.
La Grande senior setter Danielle Tams was named the Most Valuable Player of the Greater Oregon League.
Front line hitters Kaci Lyman, a junior and Kathryn Ely, just a sophomore, made first-team all-league.
Katelin Weaver also made first team as a defensive specialist, while Amanda Timm made second team. Erin Henjum made the honorable mention team.
La Grande went 11-1 in the Greater Oregon League and finished in third place at the 3A State Tournament in Eugene last week. The Tigers came within two points of playing for the state championship.
