LHS BOYS FINISH 12TH AT CLARKSTON

CLARKSTON, Wash. Zach Lauritzens 81 paced La Grandes boys golf team Monday at the Clarkston Tournament.

The Tigers finished 12th at the 20-team event, kicking off their golf season. CBA of Couer d Alene, Idaho and Pasco, Wash., tied for first, tallying team scores of 319.

We struggled a little, being the first tournament of the year, La Grande coach Don McAndie said.

But every team struggled, McAndie added. The scores were higher this year than they normally are for this tournament.

Todd McAndie finished second for La Grande with an 86.

La Grandes JV team will travel to Milton-Freewater Friday.
