Union/Cove added two more runs in the second inning on a two-run single by Amber Fiorito that brought home Carsyn Roberts and Dani Sturm to make it a 4-0 advantage.

Elgin/Imbler finally moved a run across in the fifth inning when Danika McIntosh drew a bases-loaded walk, but the Ravens couldn’t do any more damage and left the bases loaded for the second time in the game.

Union/Cove blew the game open in the sixth inning when Sturm and Fiorito both hit two-run doubles to make it 8-1.

Later in the inning, Kindra Moore’s RBI groundout put the 10-run rule into effect to end the game and move Union/Cove on to the next round.
