Family Fun Fest kicks off Blue-Gold scrimmage

The Eastern Oregon University football team will host its annual Family Fun Fest followed by the Blue and Gold Scrimmage Saturday at Community Stadium.

Mountaineer fans will have a chance to see EOU compete during the spring before the games this fall.

The scrimmage begins at 1 p.m. Admission is free to the event.

The Family Fun Fest begins at 11 a.m. The yearly event invites fans to come meet EOU football players, staff, and Monty the Mountaineer.

The Fun Fest, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., gives eighth grade and under children a chance to play on the Community Stadium turf alongside Eastern athletes.

Children will have the chance to test their skills in an obstacle course, run in races, and throwing, kicking, and punting practice areas.

Kids can have photos taken with their favorite Eastern Oregon players. The Mountaineers will be signing autographs, and passing out hot dogs and drinks for the fans.

The Blue and Gold Scrimmage will follow at 1 p.m.
