POWDER VALLEY, JOSEPH BOYS WIN BLOWOUTS

HUNTINGTON Powder Valley added one more piece to its boys basketball team and caught fire Friday against Huntington.

Todd Baxter returned to the Badger lineup after being out since the start of the season because of an injury during football season.

Powder Valley, which now has everyone back from injuries, routed Huntington 68-40.

We have everyone back now. Now we just have to learn how to play with one another, Powder Valley coach Blake Jones said.

Riley Martin scored 17 points and Justin Heffernan added 16.

Powder (4-5) will play Pine-Eagle for the Huntington Tournament championship today.

Joseph wins handily

ECHO It was just a walk through the park for Joseph Friday at the Echo Tournament.

The Eagles trounced Dayville-Monument 70-28 as 10 players scored for Joseph (8-1).

Dollen Stroup scored a game-high 14 points and Cole Lathrop had 13.

We passed the ball really well, Joseph coach Ron Lathrop said. Everyone got lots of playing time.

Joseph plays Crane today.

Enterprise wins in O.T.

PENDLETON The free throw line wasnt friendly for Enterprise until it counted.

Enterprise made 8-of-12 free throws in overtime Friday to beat Santiam 44-36 at the Oregon Trail Classic Tournament.

In the first half, Enterprise trailed 22-18 after making only 2-of-13 from the line.

Kevin Gomes led Enterprise (2-5) with 12 points. Kyle Crawford added 10 points and 12 rebounds and Tim Gilbert had 18 rebounds.

Enterprise plays in the championship final today.

Imbler hits flat spots

PILOT ROCK Flat spots killed Imblers chances Friday of sweeping Pilot Rock.

After beating the Rockets last week, the visiting Imbler Panthers had trouble on offense en rout to a 56-48 loss.

We got within two points and then hit a flat spot in the first four minutes of the fourth quarter, Imbler coach Ken Kramer said. Were playing some young kids and still trying to find an identity.

Brandon Campbell led Imbler (5-4) with 18 points.

Imbler travels to Weston-McEwen today.

Wallowa beats Baker JV

BAKER CITY Wallowa used balanced scoring to pick up a 51-39 victory over the Baker JV on the road Friday.

Three Cougars scored in double figures and two more had eight points.

Steven Smith led Wallowa (4-4) with 12 points.

Wallowa hosts the Grant Union JV today.
