Tigers extend winning streak

MILTON-FREEWATER — The La Grande boys basketball team beat McLoughlin 69-38 Tuesday, extending its winning streak to 16 games.

Even though senior Brandon Cederholm was out due to illness, Tigers head coach Mark Carollo said the team did well despite being short a player.

“We just had to come out and play well,” Carollo said. “We jumped on them early and didn’t look back.”

The Tigers (17-2 overall, 5-0 GOL) will be in Ontario (13-7 overall, 3-1 GOL) for their final Greater Oregon League game starting at 8 p.m. Friday.

Stats were not available at press time.
